Pack of 6 Letterpress Thank You Cards with Birds, Handmade Stationery, Gift for Bird Lover

Send a special handmade thank-you with these letterpress-printed birdies! This set includes 6 cards and 6 self-seal envelopes. The drawing is my own illustration, which I used to create a photopolymer printing plate to use in the press. These cards are printed on premium soft white cardstock from the French Paper Company in Niles, Michigan and have a lovely handmade feel. The birds are printed in blue and the envelopes are a contrasting tan (or kraft) color.

Letterpress printing is a fun yet labor-intensive process that includes using a printing press from circa 1940. To make cards like these, I create a printing plate from a drawing and then place in the bed of the printing press. The ink is mixed to a custom color, and then applied to the rollers of the press. Paper is then rolled over the inked printing plate, and then the finished cards are cut to size.

Cards are approximately 4.25" x 5.5" and are blank inside—the writing is all up to you!
