SECONDS "Wren in the Pines" Original Linocut Block Print

$38.00

Seconds Sale!

This original block print, "Wren in the Pines," was printed by hand using a linocut block. This process begins by hand-carving a linoleum block with an image, then inking the block and using pressure to print the image onto the paper. This block is printed on soft, 100% cotton printmaking paper that is acid-free and archival. Linocut printing is a lovely process that allows the paper to pick up some of the stray marks (or "chatter") left intentionally on the block. Each print is signed and dated. Because I use premium quality archival inks and papers, your print will last a lifetime and beyond to become an heirloom piece to be enjoyed for years to come.

WHAT ARE SECONDS?
Seconds are good quality prints that have a small flaw—flaws typically include a small area that was inked more lightly than I intended or have small areas that are slightly over-inked. See photos for a examples of flaws—most in this batch have small areas that are slightly under-inked or have bits of chatter left behind from the block.

Print seconds are all of displayable quality and are a great way to get a nice print at a bargain price. All seconds are signed and dated, just like my other prints.

See photos for each available print. Choose from A,B,C.
A - Slightly under-inked in top leaves
B - minimal chatter in bottom left corner
C - light under-inking in tree trunk
